I finally had a chance to watch HOME, the brilliant documentary by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. (The English version is narrated by Glenn Close.) Using only aerial photography, Arthus-Bertrand puts forward a view of our planet that few of us have ever seen. At times, you'll even wonder, "Is this Earth?"

I was transfixed by the imagery but the message itself is equally gripping: Life on earth is miraculous yet fragile. We've done much in the last 50 years to upset the balance. Let's find a better way forward.
